The final trailer for The Predator has been released and from the looks of things the movie has certainly earned its R rating. The trailer is a bloody good time. Literally. Check it out for yourself below but keep in mind that this is NSFW for most people.

While I think The Predator can do without the hip hop soundtrack, the trailer is a lot of fun to watch. The titular Predator looks fantastic and so do its cuddly Hell Hounds. The mercenary crew have stronger personalities than their 1987 counterparts but the core plot – a military team against an alien hunter – remains intact. The film boasts an impressive cast with Boyd Holbrook leading the way. Olivia Munn plays a scientist who supports the mercenary unit consisting of Alfie Allen, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes and Thomas Jane.

As good as the trailer looks, the movie’s future is far from certain. In fact, The Predator is forecast to bring in less than $30 million during its opening weekend – a smaller opening than Aliens Vs. Predator from 2004. The good news for the interstellar hunter is that there is not much competition in theaters that weekend.

Check back with The Inner Circle for my review of The Predator. David will undoubtedly let us know how well the film did at the box office during its opening weekend.
