So it looks like the rumors were true. We are officially getting a One Piece live-action series. The series will be on Netflix with the first season having 10 episodes. It will start from the beginning of the series so fans can get to relive their favorite moments and witness the straw hats getting together for the first time. It’s also interesting to note that it seems that the casting for the series has already been completed.

However, we currently do not know when the series will release on Netflix, but I have a strange suspicion that we will get more information during AnimeJapan. Until then we will keep you updated if any more news releases. Let us know in the comment section below if you are looking forward to the One Piece live-action series. Before you go make sure to check out our previous article on if the BLEACH anime will be making its return here.

If you haven’t seen One Piece and would like to know more about it here is a brief synopsis from Crunchyroll: “Monkey. D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line and beyond, this is one captain who’ll never give up until he’s claimed the greatest treasure on Earth: the Legendary One Piece!” Interested? Well, you can check out the series on Crunchyroll, Hulu or Funimation.
